Toiyana Rodgers is ecstatic to join WomanCare Centers. She is a Michigan native and recently moved to Virginia Beach to be with family. While serving diligently as a labor & delivery nurse, Toiyana felt a calling to Midwifery. She was later recruited into Perinatology Research where she continued working as nurse and had the opportunity to work with a high-risk population. Her passion to protect women’s birthing experiences propelled her to earn her Master of Science in Nursing Midwifery from Wayne State University.
Toiyana is an advocate of informed choice and shared decision making. She is also a strong believer of non-intervention during physiologic processes, in the absence of complications. She birthed all three of her children without medication and personally understands the challenges that may arise. She feels that it is imperative that all women have access to compassionate providers. In her spare time, Toiyana enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends. She loves going to the beach, spa days and traveling.
